Sorry I haven't posted any more for a bit we've been on the road most of August from BC, Canada to way south TX. Anyway here are three more tunes for you.

Keep On, this is a very personal song for me. Middle of the night, struggling with my self and deceiding if I'm going to continue follow Jesus. The answer was yes but that doesn't mean there isn't a fight. There is also another version of this song in FREE STUFF that was recorded in 2000 with my friend Eric Stark playing keys, Lester Estelle on drums, Jermey Worden on bass and me playing acoustic. Let me know which one you like the best.... Jimmie

Honey in the Rock, The title track of the CD and one of my favorites. I can remember the spot were I was when this song came to me. Sitting in my driveway broke and living by faith (that means no salary). It's all a matter of perspective. What are you going to focus on, what you have or what you don't. "All I know is there Honey in the Rock".

Paul Hornsby plays some wonderful organ on this track. Check out some of the great music Paul is credited with artists such as The Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, Wet Willie, Duane and Greg Allman in Hourglass, and many others. For some reason his name was left off the credits on the CD printing? So maybe this will make up for that.

Can't Get Over It, This was the first song I wrote in this phase of my life. My son Jason got together with some friends and bought me a Nashville Tele so I would start playing again. We were doing a motorcycle event at the church and need a blues tune so I wrote the song. This song is still today one of my favorites to perform. LIVE there is a lot more energy than we captured in the studio. For those of you guitar tech types the lead guitar is being played through a Line 6 POD?

Enjoy,

Jimmie

Hey y'all,

I been meaning to do this for a while. Over the next few weeks I am going to put the entire Honey in the Rock CD on the Free Stuff page. So if you know anyone that is into FREE STUFF send them by. The only thing I would ask is that you not send them the songs directly. Please send them to the site and have them sign up and get the songs themselves. That way they will know when more FREE STUFF is available.

Honey in the Rock was recorded in 2001 at Omega Arts Studios in Macon, GA. Produced by Larry Howard the CD features what was the rhythm section of The Charlie Dainels Band, Jack Gavin on Charlie Hayward on bass on B3 Paul Hornsby. For some reason Paul's name was clipped off the liner notes. But MAN!!! He played some killer organ on these tracks. Honey in the Rock was released July 4, 2001 at my first live performance at The Cornerstone Festival.

In case you don't know Macon, GA was the bitrh place of some fabulous music and musicians. Folks like Little Richard, Otis Redding, Johnny Jenkins and many others all called Macon home. Macon was also the home of Capircorn Records which in the early '70's was the launching place for the southern rock music genre. Larry Howard was a Capircorn artist with his band Grinderswitch and Paul Hornsby is a ledendary producer.

When we perform/minister in prisons Honey in the Rock is one of the most requested songs. I hope you enjoy the music. Let me a note and let me know what you think…

Peace,

Jimmie
