I have a question for all you church folks. Why are the emotional expressions in current Christianity so sober and sorrowful? I really don’t know the answer. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself that question?

The Bible tells us that when one sinner repents there is joy with the angels. Yet here on earth we are all crying our eyes out. Why is that? I’m not against crying. Those of you that know me know I’m a crying dude. Shoot I spent all of 2011 crying, just ask my family.

Yes, I know about tears of joy and I get that and I know there is a time to cry. But so many of the songs we sing in church have no joy. They are sober, reflective, not at all happy songs, hey I’m a blues singer! “So why is everyone so sad”? I really don’t know so please comment.

If one third of the kingdom of God is joy then maybe we should show it? “for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 14:17 NKJV

I really don’t know the answer I am just asking the question. Why is everyone so sad, serious and sorrowful? “”Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”” – Luke 15:10 NKJV

Peace,
Jimmie
